Charge for water and electricity

All shops are a brisk walk straight uphill from the moorings.  The weekly market is huge. There is no mooring charge, and utilities are paid for 24-hour usages, by credit card in a machine by the pontoons.

There was a huge son et lumiere performance on when last we were there, hence the 'Hollywood' set all over the quay!

The finger-pontoon portion of the port with electricity and water is a Locaboat base. Reasonably impossible to find space in high season on weekend change-over days.  Otherwise, Locaboat are quite happy to allow visitors.  There usually seems to be space, with no facilities, on the opposite canal bank.

Sérignac sur Garonne:

Quay and canal banks
Electricity on quay
Water on quay
Minimal shops
No charge

The quay on one side has utility facilities, and shade from trees, the other side has no facilities and no shade.  In high season (July-August) there is a request that boats remain on the quay for only two days, to allow for sharing with passing traffic.
Sérignac is a tiny village, with one mini-market and two bar/restaurants, but it is a wonderfully relaxing spot.  Worth an overnight stop, or longer if it's not high season.

Moissac is a pleasant town, with all essential facilities close to the port de plaisance.  There's a delightful street full of shops displaying all sorts of local arts and crafts, and of course there's a famous abbey with its cloister.

Best thing about Moissac though, for us, is the capitainerie.  Iain and Kaz are a wonderfully hospitable and helpful team.
